Catemaco, the green heart of mexico

Catemaco is situated IN THE MOST NORTHERN SMALLEST RAINFOREST OF MIDDLE AMERICA,the region is named “Los Tuxtlas”. Surrounded of a lot of volcanic hills youll find the lago of catemaco. the vegetation is lush and the green of the trees and plants is food for the soul.you feel the worl is still in order here. At the day of arrival we will give you a short walkarround through catemaco and serve you an handmade crepe which comes with coffee or tea in cafe nadie. from the balcony of the cafe nadie you will have a verry nice view over the mainplace and the church.

Next day starts with our rich casa rosa breakfast with coffee or tea, juice,scrambled eggs,fresh bred, ham and cheese, self made müsli with fruits.

After this we do a excursion to the blue lagoon in the middle of the rainforest and lateron to the lagoon of the Sontecomapan. There we start with a lancha[boat] to the beach of la barra. Here its time to swim and enjoy the sun, and you will eat in a palapa fresh fish or seafood.

At the evening i would recomend a walk at the malecon where you can find a palapa build in the lago of catemaco named "La Panga". There you can sit down , sip a drink and who like to have fun, jumps in catemaco nightlife as there is "Casa de los caballos", "La Osteria" or one of the other music clubs or discos.

For the next day a lancha is waiting for you for bring you on the other side of the lake of Catemaco to visit “El teterete” which is a place in the rainforest where you don’t find any plastic. Everything is from wood or other natural materials, here you can row with a boat and enjoy a picnic, where all the food is made on a charcoal grill, drinking your limejuice and enjoy the original “café de olla” which is prepared with cinnamon and blackstrap molasses.
